About Life Transitions

Life Transitions is a behavioral health agency in Pierce County providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy. We serve a mixed payer population, including Medicaid, private insurance, and a limited number of self-pay clients.

Our clinical model is intentionally designed around mild to moderate acuity, therapist sustainability, and strong clinical fit. Caseloads are built thoughtfully rather than urgently, with ongoing collaboration between clinicians and leadership.

Position Overview

This is a full-time W-2 therapist position for fully licensed clinicians in Washington State.

Full-time at Life Transitions means:

  • 25–32 direct client-facing hours per week
  • 28 direct client-facing hours is the ideal
  • Caseloads aligned with your training, experience, and clinical strengths

You will provide outpatient therapy within a supportive, collaborative system that values clinical judgment and ethical practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy (based on scope and interest)
  • Participate in collaborative consultation and clinical decision-making
  • Maintain clear, timely, and ethical documentation
  • Communicate openly with leadership regarding capacity, clinical concerns, and support needs

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Clinical work begins in person
  • Opportunity for hybrid work once a caseload is established
  • Hybrid eligibility requires:
    • Demonstrated caseload stability and clinical consistency
    • Access to a HIPAA-compliant remote workspace

Required Qualifications

  • Fully licensed in Washington State (LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW required)
  • This role is not open to associate-level clinicians
  • Strong clinical judgment and ethical decision-making
  • Ability to work within defined scope and acuity guidelines
  • Comfort collaborating with colleagues and leadership
